As October 2021 is Black History Month, Community United West Berkshire has launched the #ProudToBe campaign, part of the #BelongingWB programme.
#ProudToBe campaign is about showing off the diversity, culture, and heritage through portrait drawing of a famous Ethnic Minority Hero.
Calling all budding young artists aged 5-15 years in #WestBerkshire to take part in a portrait drawing competition. We are asking young people to draw a famous personality from the ethnically diverse communities they admire and give reasons why in 50 words.
The competition has been divided into two categories as we have recently received a kind donation towards the competition.
Category 1 – 5- 10 years
Category 2- 11-15 years
The portrait has to be 25.4cm by 25.4 cm and send to:
Community United West Berkshire,
