The third Community United One Community Cricket and Family Fun Day is taking place on 17th September 2023 at Falkland Cricket Club’s main ground in Newbury.
There are twelve teams playing in the cricket competition on the day.
We are very grateful to the Berkshire Cricket Foundation for their help and support.
Berkshire Youth will be providing entertainment and activities for young people.
There will be a diverse selection of food available, with respect to culture and religion.
Our Commitment
This event is the manifestation of Community United’s commitment to:
- bringing communities together
- raising awareness and working to eliminate discrimination
- promoting positive relationships between our diverse communities
- advocating for equal opportunities for all
We believe that an inclusive family-oriented sport and social event for the whole community in the area is one of the best ways of promoting all of these strands and bringing us all together for a day of fun.
Last year’s event was very successful and is one of the reasons why this year’s event is oversubscribed in terms of the cricket teams that would like to take part, even though we have doubled the capacity this year. We hope that next year will be even bigger!
