Bringing Communities Together Through Sport, Food and Fun
Community United invites residents, community groups, local businesses, and families to the One Community Cricket and Family Fun Day. The event will take place on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at Falkland Cricket Club (RG14 6TW).
This inclusive community event will use the power of sport to bring people together, celebrate diversity and create opportunities for communities to connect in a fun and welcoming environment.
Join the Cricket Tournament
We are currently looking for teams to enter our friendly 6-a-side soft ball cricket competition.
The tournament is designed to be accessible and inclusive, welcoming players of all abilities.
Who can take part?
- Teams of 6 players
- Soft ball cricket format
- Open to all genders
- Ages 16 and over
- Community groups, workplaces, friendship groups and local organisations welcome
Whether you’re a seasoned cricket player or simply want to take part in a community event, we’d love to hear from you.
Food Vendors Wanted
We are looking for a diverse range of food vendors to help showcase the rich cultures and cuisines represented across our communities.
We welcome expressions of interest from vendors serving:
- African cuisine
- Caribbean cuisine
- South Asian cuisine
- Middle Eastern cuisine
- Street food
- Desserts and sweet treats
- Other international and local foods
Community Information Stalls
We are also inviting charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and public services to host information stalls.
This is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Promote your organisation
- Meet local residents
- Recruit volunteers
- Showcase services and support available in the community
- Build new partnerships
Support the Event
We want this to be a truly inclusive community event that is accessible to everyone. To help make this happen, we are currently seeking donations and sponsorship.

- Community engagement opportunities
- Event equipment and facilities
- Volunteer support
- Inclusive participation for local communities
